Begin by talking to God to ask for his blessing while you read and pray.
Take a chapter from the Bible and reflect on it for a while. It can be done by reading it three to four times, or listing everything it reveals about yourself, guidelines to obey , or promises to claim.
Your prayer should be structured by praying for adoration, confession prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Prayerfully address your urgent needs and concerns and then take time to enjoy God’s presence.

This makes your time of prayer more personal and meaningful.
