Begin by addressing God, ask for his help as you read and pray.

Take a chapter from the Bible and meditate on it for a while. It can be done by reading it three to four times or by listing everything it reveals about yourself, the examples you can follow, instructions to obey or promises to keep.

Structure your prayer by praying for adoration, confession as well as petition and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your urgent needs and concerns, and take time to be in God’s presence.

It is also possible to incorporate different forms of prayer into your daily routine. For instance, you can try silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even writing down your prayers. This will prevent your prayer practice from becoming monotonous and add variety to your spiritual routine.

Find a partner in accountability either a close friend or family member who will be checking in with you and encourage you to stick to your daily routine. They could even be a part of your prayer and share their own experiences.
