Begin by addressing God to ask for his help as you read and meditate.
Go through a section of the Bible and then meditate on it. This can be done by reading it three to four times, or listing the things it says about yourself, examples to follow, commands to obey , or promises to keep.
Make your prayer a ritual by praying for adoration, confession prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Make a prayer for your urgent needs and concerns, and take time to be in God’s presence.
The beauty of praying is that it’s customizable to meet your requirements. Many people might only have a few minutes to spare while others might have a half an time or even more. The key is making it a constant part of your routine. If you don’t make it through the occasional day or two, don’t sweat it! Just get back on track for the next day.

Another way to enhance your prayer time is to enhance it by making it more interactive. Instead of reciting the words, you should try to connect with God at a deeper level. Make use of your imagination and try to picture the scenes described by the Bible. Make an effort to experience the emotion of each character and place yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This will make your prayer time more meaningful and personal.
It is also possible to incorporate various forms of prayer into your routine. For example, try silent prayers, contemplative prayers, or even journaling your prayers. This will keep your prayer routine from becoming repetitive and provide some variety to your daily spiritual routine.
One of the best ways to stay focused and in line with your prayer practice is by sharing your practice with others. Find an accountability partner, a friend or family member who will check in with you and encourage you to keep to your daily routine. They can even join you in prayer and share their own experiences.
