Make your prayer a ritual by praying for adoration, confession as well as petition and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your needs and pressing concerns and then take time to be in God’s presence.

The great thing about praying is that it is customizable to fit your needs. Some people may only have a few minutes to spare while others might have a half an time or even more. The trick is to make it a constant element of your day-to-day routine. If you fall off one or two days Don’t be concerned! Just get back on track for the next day.

Try using your imagination to imagine the scenes that are described within the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters, and put yourself in their position. This can make your time in prayer more meaningful and personal.

Try incorporating various forms prayers into your daily routine. For instance, you can try silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even writing down your prayers. This will prevent your prayer practice from becoming repetitive and provide variety to your spiritual routine.

Find a accountability partner, a friend or family member who can check on you regularly and help you to keep to your daily routine. They can even be a part of your prayer and share their personal experiences.
