Begin by addressing God to ask for his help as you read and pray.

Take a chapter from the Bible and meditate on the passage. It can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself, examples to follow, commands to obey or promises to keep.

Your prayer should be structured by praying for adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Pray for your urgent needs and concerns, and take time to be in God’s presence.

The great thing about praying is that it’s customizable to fit your needs. Many people might only have a few minutes to spare and others could have an hour or more. The trick is making it a regular part of your daily routine. If you don’t make it through one or two days, don’t sweat it! Get back on track the next day.
