Begin by approaching God and asking for his presence as you read and meditate.

Go through a section of the Bible and meditate on it. It can be done by reading the passage three to four times or by listing anything it tells you about yourself, guidelines to obey or promises to claim.

Structure your prayer by making confession, adoration as well as petition and thanksgiving. Pray for your urgent needs and concerns, and take time to sit in the presence of God.

Another way to increase your prayer time is to enhance it by making it more engaging. Instead of simply reciting words, you should try to connect with God on a deeper level. Try using your imagination to picture the scenes described by the Bible. Try to feel the emotions of the characters, and put yourself in their shoes. This makes your time of prayer more meaningful and personal.

It is also possible to incorporate various forms prayers into your daily routine. For instance, you can try silent prayers, contemplative prayers, or even writing down your prayers. This can keep your prayer routine from becoming boring and will add variety to your spiritual routine.

Find a partner in accountability either a close friend or family member who will be checking in with you and help you to adhere to your schedule. They could even join you in prayer and share their personal experiences.
