Once you’ve determined the best time to pray You can begin to build your routine. Here’s an illustration of a typical daily routine for prayer in the morning:

Begin by addressing God, ask for his presence as you read and pray.

Go through a section of the Bible and then meditate on it. This can be accomplished by reading it three to four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself, the examples you can follow, instructions to obey or promises to claim.

Your prayer should be structured by praying for adoration, confession as well as petition and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your immediate needs and worries and then take time to enjoy God’s presence.

The great thing about a prayer routine is that it’s customizable to suit your needs. Some people may only have a few minutes to spare while others might have a half an hour or more. Another way to increase your prayer practice is to enhance it by making it more engaging. Instead of simply reciting phrases, try engaging with God on a deeper level. Use your imagination and try to picture the scenes described within the Bible. Try to feel the emotions of the characters and place yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This will make your prayer time more personal and meaningful.

Try incorporating different types prayers into your daily routine. For example, try a silent prayers, contemplative prayers, or even writing down your prayers. This will prevent your prayer practice from becoming monotonous and add variety to your spiritual routine.

Find an accountability partner either a close friend or family member who can check in with you and encourage you to stick to your daily routine. They can even be a part of your prayers and share their own experiences.
