Go through a section of the Bible and meditate on it. This can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or writing down everything it reveals about yourself, or the examples you can follow, instructions to follow or promises to claim.

Make your prayer a ritual by praying for adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Make a prayer for your urgent needs and concerns and then take time to sit in the presence of God.
