Begin by talking to God to ask for his presence while you read and pray.
Go through a section of the Bible and then meditate on it for a while. This can be done by reading it three to four times, or writing down anything it tells you about yourself, examples to follow, commands to obey , or promises to claim.
Structure your prayer by praying for adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your needs and pressing concerns as well as taking time to enjoy God’s presence.
The great thing about the prayer time routine is that it is customizable to suit your needs. Some people may only have just a few minutes and others could have an hours or longer. The key is making it a regular part of your daily routine. If you don’t make it through one or two days, don’t sweat it! Just get back on track the following day.

Another way to enhance your prayer time is to make it more engaging. Instead of simply reciting phrases, try engaging with God on a deeper level. Make use of your imagination and try to picture the scenes described by the Bible. Make an effort to experience the emotion of each character, and put yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This makes your time of prayer more personal and meaningful.
You can also try incorporating different forms prayers into your routine. For instance, you can try silent prayers, contemplative prayers, or even writing down your prayers. This will keep your prayer routine from becoming monotonous and add some variety to your daily spiritual routine.
One of the best ways to stay focused and in line with your prayer practice is by sharing it with other people. Find a partner in accountability either a close friend or family member who will check in with you and encourage you to keep to your routine. They may even join you in prayer and share their personal experiences.
