Indiana University School of Medicine – Department of Surgery takes pride in the Vascular Surgery section. It is a competent branch of our surgery department; one of the best and the brightest in the nation. Its facilities and services can be ranked among the best in the nation.
The work we do here deals with the cardio-vascular system. We are trained to pinpoint and give aid to problems concerning your blood vessels. Our physicians are trained well and we pride ourselves as the source of the next top surgeons in the country; a tradition we hope to uphold for a very long time here in Indiana University.
Our services are:
- Non-invasive Clinical Vascular Laboratory – the laboratory is stocked with the latest in medical technology and our technicians are top-notch. We also train them in the latest trends in medical science and, as such, we recommend an innovative approach to medicine.
- Experimental protocols – We believe in the sacredness and delicate nature of healing our patients. However, this doesn’t mean that we’re on the lookout for new ways to cure common ailments. We train our staff to look for better, innovative ways to cure your problems.
It is the goal of the Vascular Section to create an environment conducive to further improving the quality of Indiana’s next surgeons and doctors. We do this by constantly improving our students, resident doctors, surgeons, physicians, and medical personnel through post-graduate training as well as other medical science training programs.
